The remains of the late veteran politician Anura Bandaranaike will be taken to the Parliament Complex this morning (17/03/2008) around 11.30 a.m for MPs to pay their last respects.
After two hours, it will be taken to the Bandaranaike ancestral home in Horagolla.
The funeral will take place on March 19th.
Anura Bandaranaike passed away last afternoon (Mar. 16th) in his Visumpaya residence.
He was 59 at the time of his death following a brief illness.
Anura was a former cabinet minister, opposition leader and Speaker of Parliament.
